Frederick H. Kraemer

Frederick H. Kraemer, age 78, of Seymour, the beloved husband of 51 years to Penny Simmons Kraemer, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born in Derby on September 15, 1944, loving son of the late Hermann and Grete Muenker Kraemer. Fred graduated from Seymour High School and from Porter and Chester Institute prior to his long career as a Tool and Dye Maker, working for Ideal Manufacturing and Ansonia Steel Fabrication. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a long-time member of the Emil Senger Post 10 American Legion of Seymour. Fred was an avid sports fan who loved NASCAR, the San Francisco 49'ers and the Oakland A's. His greatest joy came from being with his family, especially his granddaughters. Fred will be sadly missed by all but will remain forever in our hearts. In addition to his wife Penny, Fred's loving family includes his three devoted sons, Eric Kraemer (Stacy), Keith Kraemer (Erin) and Todd Kraemer and his three cherished granddaughters Savannah, Isabella and Mackenzie. He also loved his dogs Chloe and Dakota. A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) in Seymour. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Fred's memory may be made to COCO's Animal Rescue of Seymour through the funeral home.
