Carol Norton Mahan, age 72, of Seymour, entered into rest on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Springfield, VT on October 12, 1945, beloved daughter of the late Frank and Barbara Clark Norton. Carol was a graduate of Springfield, VT High School, Class of 1963 and worked for the R&R Manufacturing Company of Seymour and the W.E. Basset Co. of Derby. She was an avid homemaker who enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching TV and sports, especially the New England Patriots. Carol loved her beloved cat Bear, to crochet and go camping with her family, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching her grandson perform on stage. She will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts. Her loving family includes her daughters Kimberly Ray and her husband Sanjoy of Metuchen, NJ, Barbara Andrews and her husband Ronald, Jr. of Prospect and son Randall Mahan of New Haven and her two grandchildren Christopher Ray of Metuchen, NJ. and Allyssa Mahan of North Providence, RI. A Memorial Service in Celebration of Carol's life will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in memory of Carol may be made to the American Lung Association through the funeral home.
