Cynthia Kostick

Cynthia "Cindy", Louise Kostick, 59, a resident of Seymour, Connecticut, passed away on July 28th of pancreatic cancer at home.

Cindy was born on September 13th, 1966 in Meriden, Connecticut, the daughter of the late William Alfred Bennett and Mary Louisa Cansdale. She graduated from Francis T. Maloney High School in Meriden, Connecticut.

Until her children came along, Cindy worked as a Desk Clerk and later a Licensed Practicing Nurse for Franciscan Homecare. She enjoyed gardening, going to Bible study groups, birdwatching, and taking care of her three at times mischievous cats. She was actively involved at Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church.

Cindy is survived by her loving and devoted children John A. Kostick V and Marya T. Kostick. Cindy is predeceased by her husband of 17 years John A. Kostick IV.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, August 1st, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Miller Macari Family Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, Seymour, Connecticut 06483. A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00am.Burial will immediately follow at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, 117 Mountain Road, Seymour, Connecticut 06483. Cindy's Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, August 2nd, on 12:00 PM at Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church, 104 Mountain Road, Seymour, Connecticut 06483.

Cindy and the family would like to thank Connecticut Hospice and the team at Smilow Cancer Center for providing amazing care and support as she fought pancreatic cancer.
