Donald (Donny) A. Rillstone, Sr., age 70, of Seymour, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at his home. He was born in Derby on November 5, 1951, loving son of the late F. "Ozzy" Rillstone and Beverly Vale Rillstone. Don was a lifelong resident of Seymour and for the last 15 years had been employed as a painter at Sikorsky/Lockheed Martin. He will be fondly remembered as a friendly guy with a ready smile, always willing to help a friend. Don loved the game of golf and was known to always keep himself busy with one project or another, but his favorite time was simply hanging out with Kylee. He will be sadly missed by all, but will remain forever in our hearts. Don will lovingly be remembered by his partner, Laurie George; son, Donald A. Rillstone Jr. (Claire and her daughter Samantha Allard) and his family - Paula Perssico (Thomas Zaldumbide); Ashley Perssico; Michael George (Tammy); Alexis Burr; Taylor George; Brian George; Kylee George; brothers Robert Rillstone & James Rillstone; his former wife, Marcie Crowe and his many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Rillstone. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Don's Life will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 6:45 pm in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) in Seymour, with the Rev. Thomas Cieslikowski, Pastor of St. Nicholas Parish of Seymour officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 pm until the beginning of the Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association in Don's memory.
