Donald Michael Tymosko, 94, of Oxford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025. Born in Oxford on July 30, 1930, Don was the son of the late Michael Tymosko and Esther Dytko Tymosko. Don lived a life defined by faith, family and a sense of humor that touched everyone he met.

A U.S. Army veteran, Don served his country for three years during the 1950s. After his military service, he began a distinguished career in the accounting department at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT, where he worked diligently for over 30 years.

A man of strong Catholic faith, Don was a devoted churchgoer who, with his wife Florence, rarely missed a weekly mass. He enjoyed his many friends in the church community. He was also a passionate sports fan and especially proud to be a lifelong supporter of the Boston Red Sox. Whether cheering on his team or watching a game with family, Don’s enthusiasm was infectious. He passed on his love of sports to his children, coaching their Little League teams and proudly cheering them on from the sidelines. His presence was a constant source of encouragement.

In retirement, Don embraced the joys of travel, close friendships, and time with family. He was an avid reader, a regular at the local library, and a lifelong learner who delighted in a good book and thoughtful conversation.

He was the beloved husband of Florence Bernice Tymosko for 68 wonderful years. Their marriage was a true partnership, grounded in love, laughter, and mutual respect. Don is survived by his wife Florence Tymosko and their four children:

  • Gary Tymosko of Myrtle Beach, SC

  • Nancy Tymosko Rosenberg and her husband David Rosenberg of Portsmouth, RI

  • Jeff Tymosko and his wife Betsy of Oxford, CT

  • Wayne Tymosko and his wife Murphy of Wallingford, CT

He was a proud and loving grandfather to five grandchildren:

  • Brittany Rosenberg Costa (and husband Dominick Costa)

  • Tyler Rosenberg

  • Kayla Rosenberg

  • Brooke Tymosko

  • Jenna Tymosko

Don will be remembered for his deep devotion to his wife, his warm spirit, and his endearing sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.
