Dorothy Roggenback

Dorothy Roggenback, age 84, of Oxford, the beloved wife of 26 years to the late Leon Roggenback, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Connecticut Hospice. She was born in Bridgeport on July 18, 1931, daughter of the late John and Anna Soltis Palyo. Dorothy was a nurse's aide for the Jewish Home of Fairfield prior to her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church of Oxford and St. Patrick Church of Bridgeport. Dorothy loved to bake, read, watch movies and spend time at the Oxford Senior Center. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends. Dorothy will be missed by all but will remain forever in our hearts. Her loving family includes her daughter Dawn Wyda (David) of Oxford, her son Kim Roggenback (Cindy) of Maine, her grandchildren Krista Wyda Litke (Matt) of Prospect and Jason Wyda (Jennifer) of Southbury and her three cherished great grandchildren Emma, Ashley and Kaylee. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother John Palyo. The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the staff of the CT Hospice in Branford for the warm and loving care that they provided for Dorothy during her time with them. A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Road, Oxford.
