Gregory Stephen Zielinski, age 60, of Litchfield, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Washington D.C. on March 12, 1962, loving son of the late Stephen and MaryAnne Zielinski. Greg was a superhero fan who enjoyed the Marvel and DC series and a movie buff who possessed an extensive movie collection which included comedies, documentaries, music videos, and classic horror films. He had in-depth knowledge about the lives of Lon Chaney Jr., Boris Karloff, and Bela Lugosi as well as Stan Lee, the creator of Marvel Comics. He enjoyed spending time with his cats, singing karaoke, reading comic books, watching classic TV shows, and dressing up as Spiderman on Halloween. Greg also loved Christmas and took great delight in giving gifts to and sharing meals with his family and many friends. He loved to travel with his sister and her boyfriend, John, to Provincetown, Mass. and Newport, R.I., and to Shawnee, Penn, with his niece, Clarisse, and nephew, Gabriel. Greg will be sadly missed by all who remember the joy and child-like innocence that defined him. His radiant smile, quirky humor, and abundant kindness are forever etched in our hearts. Greg's loving family includes his two sisters Colleen Stradtman (John Keilty) and Kathryn Krzeminski, two brothers Jeff Krzeminski (Holly) and Christopher Krzeminski, his stepmother Francis Zielinski, his half-sister Jennifer Luedee, his uncle Tom Zielinski, his aunt Arlene Lombardi, and his cherished niece Clarisse and nephew Gabriel. A Memorial Service in Celebration of Greg's life will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) in Seymour.
