Kayla Marie Castro-Torreiro

Kayla Marie Castro-Torreiro, age 29, of Terryville, entered into rest on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Bristol Hospital. She was born in Meriden on October 19, 1988. Kayla enjoyed the beach, butterflies, arts and crafts, off roading and loved football, especially watching her favorite team, the NY Jets. She enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, writing and absolutely loved photography. Kayla loved to sing and cook, enjoyed nature and loved animals of all kinds. Most of all, Kayla loved to be with her family. She leaves her devoted husband of 11 years Christopher Torreiro and her cherished children Serenity and Jonathan. Kayla also leaves her mother Lisa Sastrum and father Paul Sastrum, her brother Kyle Sastrum, her sister Kali Sastrum and her sisters husband Nikolas Radaskie, her grandparents Barbara Smith, Patricia Sastrum and Walter and Patty Smith, her father and mother in laws, Felix and Maria Torreiro and Sandra and Rey Santos, her in laws Sasha and Noel Valentin and Joshua and April Torreiro, her aunts Shannon Schmidheini and Cherelle Smith and many others Including all her nieces and nephews, especially her nephew Chunk ( Brayden Radaskie), the Daniel Family and her biological father James Castro. To those who knew her she was very stubborn and hard headed but she always made the world a brighter place. The world has lost one of their angels but now God has gained one of the most beautiful angels in heaven. We will always love you and miss you. Gone but never forgotten. Sleep well our angel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 8;00 pm at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour. All other services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family through the funeral home.
