Linda M. Mills of Woodbury, CT was called home to our Lord on March 15, 2019 at the age of 70. Punky, as she was known by loved ones, was born in Henderson, Nevada the daughter of late Ralph and Edith Mills. Punky was a registered nurse for many years and enjoyed traveling between Nevada, Florida and Connecticut - all three states holding a special place in her heart. Punky was known for her love of good conversation, music, Mexican food and playing putt-putt (mini-golf). Just short of her love of God and family was Punky's love of cats, many of whom enjoyed a very pampered life under Punky's care over the years, most recently her "kids" Tiger Lilly and Bella. Punky leaves behind a brother, Richard K. Chandler (Ruth) of Oxford, Connecticut and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews in Connecticut and Florida. She was predeceased by her brother Robert R. Chandler of Massachusetts and her sister Shirley (Chandler) Zuccardy of Florida. A Celebration of Punky's life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11am at the Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church, 104 Mountain Road, Seymour with the Rev. David Abbott, officiating. A Repast will follow the service in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Punky's memory may be made to either the CT Humane Society or the Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church.The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St., Seymour is compassionately caring for the family.
