Mary Ellen Ann Klembara

Mary Ellen Ann Klembara, 79, of Oxford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at her home on June 1, 2026.

Mary Ellen was born on September 24, 1946, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Howard Dunne and Anne Jontos. She graduated from Bassick High School and later worked as an Administrative Assistant at Aquarion Water Company for ten years before retiring.

Mary Ellen loved country line dancing, gardening, traveling, playing Mahjong with the ladies of Oxford Greens, enjoyed playing golf, and spending cherished time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Thomas of the Apostle and devoted herself to community service and numerous volunteer activities through Oxford Greens.

She is survived by her ex-spouse, Robert Klembara; her partner, Michael Angelini; her daughter Dana Staron and husband Sean; her son Mark; her brother James Dunne; her beloved grandchildren Katelyn and Jenna Staron, and Eloise Klembara; and her adorable dog, Cosmo.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on June 8th at St. Thomas of the Apostle, 733 Oxford Road, followed by burial at Southford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pancan.org to support those battling pancreatic cancer. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Connecticut Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time.
