Rosemarie Hohman, of Bethany, died on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026. Born near the Woodbridge/New Haven line on Sept. 18, 1926, she was the daughter of Ralph Musto and Rosalie Musto, and was predeceased by them, her brother, Pascale Musto, and sister, Teresa Obernesser, as well as by her husband, Robert Hohman.Rosemarie was “Tootsie,” and “Aunt Tootsie” to many friends and relatives, and she kept a warm and welcoming home. Raised in a horticultural family, she was a talented and avid gardener and flower arranger and a proud charter member of the Bethany Garden Club. She graduated from Hillhouse High School in New Haven and attended Weylister Secretarial Junior College and Annhurst College. After raising a family, Rosemarie worked in banking and retail sales.She loved beauty. And chocolate. She wasn’t crazy about cats, but dogs were OK. For 99 and a half years she loved her family, which grew to include children Robert Hohman (Sandra), Cindy Adams (Richard), Susan Malayter (James) and Ralph Hohman (Sally Ganga), and grandchildren Melissa Hohman-Colagiovanni (John), Rob Hohman (Christi), David Hohman (Melanie), Thomas McEneny (Nicole), Brian McEneny (Rachel), Jordan Adams (Kalyn), Clark Adams (Brittany) and Rachel Hohman.Rosemarie had nine great-grandchildren: Desiree Latocha (Shawn), Alisha, Kayla, Miles, Allee, Tommy, Jack, Rory and Maeve; and five great-great grandchildren: Joshua, Jaiden, Ariella, Julian and Luna.We miss her.Services and interment at St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven will be scheduled later.
