Rosendo Silva Profile Photo

Rosendo Silva was born on April 4, 1948, in La Guaira, Venezuela. He entered into eternal rest peacefully on December 13, 2023, at the age of 75. Rosendo is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Moira Silva, his two daughters Danelly Silva and Leslie Cavanagh and her husband Jim, his cherished grandchildren Jay Silva and his wife Gina, Daniela Morales Silva, Christian Cavanagh, Daniel Cavanah and Isabel Cavanagh, his two brothers Aquiles and his wife Josefina and Rolgelio Silva and his wife Elba, his sister Francisca and his niece/Goddaughter Fransics. Rosendo was predeceased by his beloved mother Daniela Silva. Rosendo and Moira met 60 years ago when Rosendo turned 15 years old in La Guaira and they have been together ever since. He had an associate degree in computer information systems, and he was the first one in his family to love the English language. In 1986, he moved with his family to the United States for the first time and fell in love with the U.S. He worked for an international airline for over 20 years in La Guaira and New York City. Rosendo got the opportunity to study in Switzerland and travel with his family to Spain, Portugal, England, Columbia, and the United States. In 1989, he moved back to Venezuela and in 2001, he returned to the U.S. to be closer to his daughters. Rosendo loved music, whether it was listening to old songs or playing various instruments (organs, accordion, bongos, charrasca, tambourine and even the flute). He was a rock star with maracas. Rosendo was an excellent dancer who loved to take care of his family. He took care of his wife and two daughters while they were going to school. Rosendo was always available to pick up his grandchildren at a moment's notice taking them to the park, the store, McDonalds, baseball practice, cheer practice, football practice, CCD, countless oil changes for his son-in-law and so much more. His greatest goal was to take care of his family and his family was his greatest achievement. Even at the end when he lost his words, he would sing his favorite songs and make everyone smile. Rosendo will always be remembered singing in our hearts. Te queremos mucho abuelo.
