Stephen Uhelsky, age 93, of Beacon Falls, the beloved husband of the late Joan Christinat Uhelsky, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Hewitt Health & Rehabilitation Center, Shelton. He was born in Seymour on May 14, 1923, the son of the late Michael and Anna Uhelsky. Stephen was a Construction Laborer for the John J. Brennan Company of Shelton for many years. He proudly served his country with the 67th Mobil Army Hospital as a Medical Tech, Private First Class, stationed in England during World War II. Stephen was a communicant of St. Michael R.C. Church of Beacon Falls, was an avid gardener and greatly enjoyed UCONN Women's Basketball and watching football. He will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts. His family includes his two loving daughters Mary Ann Grande of Derby and Susan Uhelsky of Seymour, his sister Ann Kasinskas and her husband Edward of Bethany, his three grandchildren Michelle Peluso and her husband Joseph, Michael Trimarchi, III and Rachel Trimarchi, his two great-grandchildren Carter Richard Peluso and Camilla Joan Peluso and many friends and other relatives. Stephen was predeceased by his son in law Richard Grande, brothers George, John, Michael, Andrew and Joseph and sisters Mary, Elizabeth, Helen and Susie. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Stephen's life will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 9:30 am in the Chapel of The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, (Rte. 67 across from Klarides Village), Seymour, CT with Reverend Leonard Kvedas, Pastor of St. Michael R.C. Church officiating. Interment in the family plot with Full Military Honors Accorded will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 8:30 am until the start of the service at 9:30 am. Memorial Contributions may be made in Stephen's memory to Hewitt Health & Rehabilitation Center through the funeral home. Cemetery Details Mt.
