Veronica J. Kulas "Ronnie " age 89 of Seymour, the beloved wife of the Jack Kulas, passed away peacefully after a long battle of dementia on 9/14/2025 in Derby.
Veronica was born April 26, 1936, in Derby, daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Everetts Povalitis. Although Veronica was born in Derby, she was raised in Ansonia and moved to Seymour where she raised her family.
Veronica, known for her warm spirit and love for life, she worked in the cafeteria for the Seymour school system before she embraced her role as a nanny for several years.
She had a zest for life, enjoying bingo nights, trips to the casino, and of course, indulging in her favourite ice cream. Veronica was also very active at the Seymour Senior Center, where she formed many friendships and found joy in seeing her many friends there. Most of all Veronica, found the greatest joy in spending time with her family.
Veronica's legacy of love and dedication to her family will forever be in our hearts, she will be sadly missed by all.
Veronica is survived by her children Karen Talamelli Cusack, James Kulas, Stanley Kulas(Kathleen) and Laura Kulas (Kevin), 8 grandchildren (William, Mark, John, Rachel, Nicole, Jessica, Robert, Christopher) and 13 grandchildren and 1 on the way. Veronica is predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Jack Kulas, and her son, John Kulas. She is also predeceased by brothers, Joseph Povilaitis, Alfred Povilaitis and William Povilaitis and sister Catherine Strode
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 10:00 am (Directly) at Church of the Good Shepherd-St. Nicholas Parish 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Burial will immediately follow at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, 117 Mountain Road, Seymour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Veronica's memory to The Alzheimer's Association, (CT Chapter Office) 10 Executive Drive Suite 202, Farmington, CT 06032.
