William Michael Crowe, “Bill” 79, a resident of Seymour, CT passed away on December 7, 2025 peacefully in his sleep, at home leaving behind a lifetime of memories, quiet strength, and a family who loved him deeply.
Bill was born on January 12, 1946 in Bridgeport, CT, the son of the late Fredrick and Veronica Crowe.
For more than 60 years, Bill shared an enduring and loving partnership with his wife, Brigitte, whose outgoing and spirited nature perfectly complemented his quieter presence. Their life together was filled with friendship, laughter, family, tradition, and adventure—from holiday parties and nights spent listening to friends sing at Rose’s, to memorable cruises and the treasured annual family vacations to the Jersey Shore.
Bill was a devoted father to his daughter Jennifer, and her husband Steve of Manchester, CT, and his son Jonathan, and his wife, Debra of Seymour, CT. Nothing brought him more joy than being “Papa” to his four grandchildren: Katelyn, Christopher, Brynn, and Rebecca. Though he was a man of few words, his grandchildren could light up his face with a smile faster than anyone else, revealing the soft heart beneath his quiet demeanor.
Born into a large family as one of six children, Bill grew up surrounded by the bonds that shaped him into the steady, dependable man he became. He is predeceased by his siblings Fred Crowe, Maureen Fitzpatrick, and Peggy Helm. He is survived by his brothers Robert Crowe and Edward (Linda) Crowe, who will carry forward many decades of family stories and shared history. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Paul Decker, and several nieces and nephews.
A proud member of the National Guard, Bill served his country with the same steady reliability he brought to every part of his life. He built a long and respected career in the HVAC community, known for his work ethic and integrity. Outside of work, Bill followed his passion for cars through many years in a local car club, Blood, sweat & Gears; and by owning several antique vehicles he took great pride in.
Bill never needed many words to make an impact; his presence, calm strength, and unwavering dependability spoke for him. He was the kind of man who showed his love through actions -through being there, always - creating a lifetime of memories for those lucky enough to know him.
He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and all who shared in his life. There will be no services at this time, the Family plans to have a “Celebration of Life” this summer.
